Netflix is preparing to release “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” a mini-series based on the life of infamous serial killer and alleged cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer. The Netflix miniseries will detail all of these events when it airs on September 21, 2022. The series was created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan and stars Evan Peters, Niecy Nash, Colin Ford, Molly Ringwald and others.

Jeffrey Dahmer was a convicted serial killer often referred to as one of the most infamous of his generation. For more than 13 years, from 1978 to 1991, Dahmer murdered young people, mostly of African-American descent. He usually picked them up at gay bars and malls.

He would allegedly lure his victims with the promise of sex and money and bring them to his home. There he usually gave them fake alcohol and strangled them to death. He often mutilated and assaulted their corpses.

He reportedly even practiced cannibalism and often kept the skulls or genitals of his victims as souvenirs. He also took photographs of his victims in various stages of their killing.

In 1991 he was finally captured and sentenced to a total of 16 life sentences. While incarcerated at Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin, correctional officers found him on the gymnasium bathroom floor, covered in his own blood.

He had severe injuries to his head and face. Although he was still alive when authorities found him, he died shortly thereafter. According to the death report, he had been struck in the head and face with a 20-inch metal bar.

Who killed Jeffrey Dahmer and why?

On the day of his death, Dahmer, Christopher J. Scarver and Jesse Anderson were given the task of cleaning the restroom at the gym. When all three were left unattended, Christopher allegedly used a metal rod to beat Jeffrey Dahmer to death. When the officers returned, Christopher J. Scarver confessed to the murders and said:

“God told me to do it. Jesse Anderson and Jeffrey Dahmer are dead.”

Christopher apparently cornered Jeffrey and presented him with newspaper clippings about his crimes before attacking him. He claimed that he was disgusted by what Dahmer had done.

He later revealed that Jeffrey often used his image as a cannibal and serial killer to mock and disrespect other inmates. He also reportedly had a dark sense of humor and imitated eating body parts with prison food and ketchup.

Many inmates were allegedly unhappy with Jeffrey. Jeffrey and Anderson reportedly taunted Christopher shortly before he attacked them. Christopher J. Scarver was sentenced to two other life sentences in addition to the one he was serving.
